Term 2 starts soon!

Happy holidays everyone!

Term 2 is starting next week and I am super excited to have everyone back in Room 8. We are starting a new topic for Term 2. The whole term we will be studying BELONGING with a focus on cultures in our classroom and the world around us.

Room 8 Buddy Reading with Room 4 in the library

Today Room 8 (Year 2 Class) and Room 4 (Year 5/6 Class) did buddy reading in the library. The Room 4 students picked books to read to our class. It was a huge success. Looking forward to doing it again next term. 

Glenavon's Got Talent 2016

Today we had Glenavon's Got Talent! The hall was packed with family friends supporting our students. We had students from both syndicates performing. Below is a quick highlight reel of all the performances and also the full clip of the male teacher performance of RUDE!

Tuesday Music with Mr Osborne

Today in music with Mr Osborne, we learnt about the bass guitar. Every week Mr Osborne introduces the instrument of the week. A few lucky people got a turn on the bass guitar today.

Room 8 Assembly

Today Room 8 had our assembly!

Before we performed, the Senior drumming elective class did an amazing performance.

We sung the song "Three little birds" and performed the CHA CHA Swing!

For our announcements we, pre-recorded them and put them on the projector screen.
At the end of assembly we played our bloopers clip! 

We practiced our dance moves all week, hope you enjoy it!

Room 8 - Owl Art

On Monday we started making Owls with coloured paper by cutting out triangles and circles.

After two messy afternoons with lots of paper chopped up a few people have finished their wonderful Owl creations.
