Week 4

We have an awesome week in Room 8. Friday we had Buddy Reading with Room 4. Thursday it was Maryanne's birthday, she is 7 years old.

Our big book for this week is Pirate Polly, we have been practicing our reading aloud with the whole class. Here is a video below.

Week 3

We had an awesome week in Room 8!

This week we set a record of how many DOJO points Mr Sheaff gave out. Some students got over 100 DOJO points. In total 1,700 DOJO points were given out to students.

We reset the points every week, so we will be starting again from ZERO.

We started singing a new song at singing assembly!

Week 2 - Belonging Posters have begun

Today each student started making their "Belonging Poster". Today we cut out our names and some people had time to put their flags onto their posters. Each student had to find the letters of their names with different styles of lettering.

Week 2 - Pictograph

Today in class we made a pictograph! Each student got to glue their flag to the big sheet of paper to be displayed in the classroom! We are learning about all the cultures in our class.

Week 2 Preview

I am very excited to kick off our new topic for Term 2! We are studying Belonging. On Monday we are going to add our names to our "We come from all over the World" Wall.

Every week we will be learning new things about our cultures and countries we are from.

First day of Term 2

We are back to school again! Super excited for Term 2. Today's highlight was Buddy reading with Room 10 & 11. Room 8 was reading to the younger students in the school! It was a very successful afternoon and we will be doing it again next week!
